Tremor is gone

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Ram. I was torn between the Ram and F150. Just before I made my decision, I ended up in a Ram 4x4 5.7 crewcab 6.5' bed truck for almost a week. Man, that thing rides nice! I ended up getting the Ford, because I really wanted some of the tech features like LED headlights. However, both are great. I don't regret my decision one bit, but do wish Ford could make these things ride as smooth as a Ram.
Since I don't really haul anything, I definitely would have gotten the RamBox option if I'd gone the Ram route. There is a ton of space in those things and they are a great place to stow items (I always keep jumper cables, tow straps, a basic winter survival gear kit, and miscellaneous items in my vehicles) that you want to have but probably won't need.

As for the RamBox, I just don't have that many little things I need to carry. I don't need tow straps, as I live in the city and if I need a tow, I'm calling a tow truck. I don't go offroad, so no worries about needing to get pulled out of a sticky situation. My jumper cables fit fine in the storage compartment under the back seat, along with my ratchet straps. And being in Houston, we really don't have a winter, so I don't need a winter weather survival kit. The extra room in the bed will allow me to keep my golf clubs, golf shoes, and fishing gear back there, with some room for luggage and camping gear on road trips (golf clubs will come out when we go camping). About the only thing I would use the rambox for would be to hold beer and ice, and I've got plenty of ice chests that I can take with me for that. I do have two little ice chests with removable liners built into the floorboard of the back seat though, lol. Each would probably hold 4-6 beers with some ice.

Not that I am shopping for anything lol but my bro-in law has a Ram eco-diesel and my mom has a hemi....both are fantastic trucks (at least short term as I know they will both trade them back in 3-5 year range, no idea of long-term reliability).
Smooth rides on those coils (as long as you don't need the payload, which they both don't).
Fantastic stereo systems (at least compared to my '13 F150), which I do hope to remedy this year yet.
Anyway enjoy!

I most likely will have this truck for 3-4 years also, so long term reliability isn't much of a concern for me. The most miles I've ever put on any vehicle was 78k in the 3 years I had my 04. If I didn't put so many miles per year on vehicles, I'd just lease, but as it is the mileage charge would kill me. I usually put 20-30k/mile. I had the Tremor for 5 months and put a little over 10k miles on it.

I had a Tremor for a short while until it started having multiple issues.
I bought it new after being on a dealers lot for almost 2 years???????
I paid 29,500 for it new. when I traded it off, I got $28,000 which is what it listed for then. I would not have taken any less than that. Dealer came back with 28,000 with no haggle or questions...... I traded it for a Charger.

I almost went with a Ram EcoDiesel before looking at Ford. Ram really got that truck right on ergonomics and design features. It was almost like that sat down with multiple families, asked what stupid design issues created by our marketing department would you like changed and fixed them to benefit of the customer.
Ford not so much:
1. Radio ***** that are too far over to operate without leaning forward.
2. Power window switches too far forward on the door so the tendency is to roll down the back windows if you do not look first.
3. Seat cooling that does not work..
just to name a few.

Keep on top of servicing the transmission. For whatever reason, MOPAR just has issues with the tyranny. It's always been the weak link. Loved my Dodge (When they used to call them that) but moved into an F-150 when, what else, the transmission flamed out. Best of luck!
