Im building a 1978 f150 stepside and want to utilize the np205 transfer case with a zf 5 transmission. Its a 1993 but has the same bolt pattern. Ive read a few other forums where guys notch out the flange on the tailshaft to accommodate a single lever shifter. But i want to know if anyone has done this with a 4 wheel drive tranny. there appears to be some clearance issues with the existing lever mount on the zf 5. Just want to know if the zf 5 will accommodate the t-case without having to completely remove the existing lever mount.
