When I put my truck into gear the little red indicator bar no longer matches the various gears on the in cabin display. I've heard that this can be a result of faulty transmission mounts. How can I check without going to the shop?

 

Darn, ive seen this issue on the forum before but Im not sure what the thread name is, sorry. Buy Ive seen this issue an it's solution it's here somehwere.

 

Sounds like you need a new shift indicator cable on the cluster. It's a pretty common problem. It includes the cable and indicator assembly.

 

Most likely cable has slipped/stretched. If you can live with it my fathers truck was like that until he sold it.
