i have this issue on my 08, it happens a t lower speed like 39-40.
The tranny needs to be reprogrammed on mine. Its a common problem on the 08's maybe same as yours.

Which engine is in your truck? I have a 2010 xl 4.6 and one time while on interstate at about 50 I punched it and it felt like a slip and then a loud thump then took hold. My wife was with me and she even ask what happened? I have about 2500 miles on truck. Just wandering if you have the same tranny as me. Mine is 4 speed auto.
