Throttle Body
Hoping for a little help, I have a 2008 F150 4x4 with a 5.4. I am looking into getting a 75mm BBK throttle body for my truck. My question is what size is my factory throttle body, and what kind of performance gains can I expect. I also have a K&N CAI, a throttle body spacer, exhaust, and an Edge Evolution. Thanks
Can't help you with the throttle body question but you might want to consider loosing the throttle body spacer and upgrading your Edge to a Gryphon. The Edge doesn't allow you to correct any lean conditions that you might be having. Personally I would spend the money on a SCT X3 w/ custom tunes and forget the throttle body.

Can you tell me more about the Gryphon, and the SCT X3. Never heard of them. What kind of performance gains can expect with these other tuners? Thanks
I have a SCT X3 w/ Troyer custom tunes on my 07 scab and it has been an excellent addition to my other mods. If you want good tune fast check out Mike at 5 Star tuning. The Gryphon by PHP is more like the Egde. I believe you can send them your Edge for a upgrade and custom tunes. PHP's wait time might be a little longer as well. Canned tunes are better than stock but if you're looking to get the most out of your mods, custom tunes is the way to go. You also might want to look into e-fans and under drive pulleys to free up some extra HP. And ditch the TBS.
Do some research on the SCT X3. You could always sell your Edge.

Sigh... I hate when people don't actually answer what you're asking. A throttle body spacer is used on carburated engines in order to allow the fuel more time to mix with air creating a better fuel:air ratio. On EFI (electronic fuel injection) engines, that fuel:air ratio is already regulated by the computer, rendering a throttle body spacer useless. As it is, adding that spacer is only going to give you a bit of a whistle. Hopefully this clears some stuff up.
