Default Tranny Leak?

I have a 1995 F150 351W and the other day I was walkin infront of my truck and saw that something was leaking. It looks like it might be coming from the bolt that holds the starter on, but it may just be that the oil dripped onto the bolt. I took some pic. and was hoping someone could tell me what this is leaking and how can I fix it?

Thanks
Bubba

What color is that oil? Reddish? Brownish?

It seems to be that it is more brownish/black than red.

Engine oil perhaps. If reddish, it could be tranny or power steering. Check the filler cap, PCV hose/fitting, and oil filter tightness.

Pardon my stupidity, but is the rear main seal part of the tranny or engine and is it hard to replace, or how much would it cost for a shop to do it.

The rear main is kinda labor intensive. You have to pull either the tranny or the motor.
