Hey guys just was wondering if anyone can tell me what some of the differences are in the traction control options.
The first picture is pretty obvious, I would imagine it means the wheels can slip and the truck can slide side to side. The next picture would be turning traction back on.
But the real question is what does advance trac off mean. I can get to this option by holding down the traction button for about 8 seconds.
And I just found another option the other day but pressing the traction button for 3 seconds and then pushing it again for another 3 seconds which brings up advancetrac sport mode. Any cool features with this option?
I have a 2015 f150 3.5 ecoboost xlt crewcab. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for all your help. Still not sure about that advance trac sport mode.
From what I seem to have experienced in my 2011 FX4:
Push Button Once: Trac Off: Allows me to do burnouts, but if I go to slide sideways it puts a quick stop to that.
Hold Button: AdvanceTrac Off: Allows me to slide sideways and do burnouts.
I havent tried holding it for 3 seconds like you did, might be something on the 2015s. I haven't opened my manual to read about it, I just tested it myself lol.
Thanks Smasher
Manual doesn't really say anything about advance trac sport mode. It says that if you double press it(which is probably what i am doing by holding for 3 secs), the electronic stability control has a higher threshold target as well as traction control. Was hoping someone could give me an example of what that meant.
