I went with the big horse diesel, and I'll never be a gas engine owner again when it comes to towing. Same trailer on my 2007 gas engine gets me 17, maybe 17.3 MPG. With the diesel pulling the very same trailer, I get 22 to 23 MPG. This horse does not even know that trailer is hitched up.
