Unless you have a F-250 or F-350, I doubt you'll be able to tow a 5th wheel, unless that 5th wheel has a low tongue weight. The rear axle determines 5th wheel tongue weight.

OP posted the exact same question months ago and never came back to the thread...

Hmmm, maybe he's serious this time.
In any event, an F-150 is not my choice to pull a fifth wheel. I'm interested in buying a fifth wheel camper, and had my eye on my son's 250 diesel to trade my 150 on; the salesperson at the RV dealership looked up his truck, and found that the rear axle in his 250 was at its limit to pull the fifth wheel camper model I wanted. A "safe" limit is to keep it with a buffer of 800 to 1000 pounds of its total weight.
Soooo, I have to win the lottery to buy a better 250, or step up to a 350 if I want that fifth wheel model camper. Sigh...

With any 5th wheel you have to watch the hitch or pin weight of the trailer as not to exceed the carrying capacity of the truck. You also have to be aware of the turning radius of the truck/trailer not to hit the rear of the cab when turning. The short 5.5 ft beds usually are a problem without a slider on the 5th wheel hitch. It can be done with a 150 as a tow vehicle but the 5th wheel trailer will usually be a small and lightweight trailer.
