Tornado Performance Booster?
Just picked up a 96 ford explorer that im hoping to drive around and get better mpg's than my 04 F150. Ran across a "Tornado Performance Booster" does anyone know anything about them? They advertise 5%-18% better mpg and 4-13 more hp. Is it worth the 60 bucks?
IMO opinion- If you want better MPG's my sister just bought a VW Jetta with a diesel and is currently averaging 48.2 mpg's. Programmers, air filters, bed shells etc.... will rarely ever pay the for the very small mileage increase that you may or may not get. For example I bough a K&N Cold air intake along with a Bullydog GT Tuner Over $900 bucks to get better gas mileage. And I get the exact same mileage as before with a little more power. To answer your question all reviews I have seen on the Tornado are negative. but that is a decision you have to make. I would drive it and put gas in it and try not to mash it to hard.
Will do NOTHING for a fuel injected motor. Save your $$$ for gas
are we talking about the little fan that goes in front of the throttle body? ill tell u you are gonna spend 60 bucks to make your truck whistle and thats it. had a buddy that had one of these, lol biggest waste of money. didnt do anything it claimed. all mileage stayed the same and had a constant annoying whistle while driving.
Tornado is a scam. Will do absolutely nothing and not sure why they can sell it since its proven it doesn't work. Also $60 bucks for $2 worth of metal. Also I heard it makes whistle sound in some vehicles...lol.

I haven't heard about those things since the 60's!
Can't believe they're still makin' them.
Back then, folks had the same question and back then the answer was the same-they don't do anything except put your money in someone else's pocket.
