Tinting the top 6 to 8 in of your winshield really helps with sun glare and looks great. Ford went cheap and stop putting tinted glass on their winshields and this hurts nothing. Go for it. I did and I Love it.

I've got a 7-8 inch strip tinted across the top of mine at 5% and couldn't live without it and it makes it look darker from the outside, but I think they are talking about tinting the entire windshield. A couple of guys I work with did their entire windshield in 50% and like it but I have enough trouble seeing on rainy nights as it is. I'm kinda pushing my luck with 15% on the two front and 5% on top of the factory tint on the back doors and back glass as it is.

I do have and "eyebrow" that goes to the AS1 line. I'm thinking about getting it redone for one that will be 9"s.

One thing I really like about that strip is that I can mount my radar detector up that high and the tint will keep it a little bit cooler.

Why not just wear your sunglasses at night

So this is a no go.
I noticed that too. More reason to just look cool wearing them at night instead of tint Is the old age already getting to you, affection your sight at night? Here I thought I was the only one with this problem

Tint on your windshield? I've never heard of that in my life, and besides its a horrible idea because you wouldn't be able to see **** at night. Why not just wear sunglasses? Or hell even a blindfold would be safer than tint.

I had the windshield done on my mustang in 50% and loved it. For the people complaining about night time driving, it wasn't any more difficult to see out.

I agree with super-tinting down to the tint line (AS1?). Put heavy smoke tint there, helps tremendously with glare. Although it seems to date the truck - as not many newer ones do this. But I'm at the age where I value functionality over appearance. And it is legal for MO (last time I checked).

Odd how much laws vary between states. Here, it's a stone's throw to IL, TN, KY, and AR. Some allow tinting on the sides, but not the back. Others allow tinting on the back, but not the sides. Then there's the various percentages to deal with. Aaarrrrgh!!

Suggest to check your local laws first - then decide what risk you are willing to accept if you want to exceed that.

I put 5% on the back window,5% on the little extended cab windows and 5% about 4" on the top of the windshield .I like the look of it.it darkens the cab,and the door windows look tinted....well the best of all it is legal.
