Default Tinted windshield?

I want to put 5% on my side windows but my dad is being a bitch and won't let me put anymore tint on them. So, how noticeable would it be to put 50% on the front windshield? Hopefully not too noticeable.

Have any of ya'll done this to you cars and trucks? If so how did you like it?

First its illegal, and secondly, if its your truck, who cares what you do?

Yea I know its illegal but my front windows have 15% on them and my rear one (the large window by the bed) has 5% on it, so I'm already in the *illegal* stage.

Good point I might just do it, but everytime I bring it up he gets all pissy.

I should have just put limo on it from the get go.

i would prefer to see clearly when i drive at night...the more blatantly illegal **** you do to your truck....like overtly illegal tint, the less pity you will receive if/when the long arm of the law pulls you over.

Does your dad make the payments on your truck?

best idea/investment i ever had/made....i put 35% on it, was noticeable, BUT not enough, because my dad never once said a thing, and he HATES tints..he got mad at me for putting 20% to match the rear...go with the 35% my buddy did 5% on his front 2, and 5% over the back windows, and 35% on his windshield in his 350 kingranch...looks mazing...and during the day u can still see in, but it helps with the sun, and the heat and all

Well, if you want to try and peel it off on the side of the road while cop watches..be my guest. I've been in worse situations.

Oh sh*t.

I just remembered that if you wear sunglasses and look threw the tint it will look like a rainbow, which would obviuosly show that there is indeed tint.

So this is a no go.

I happen to like tinted glass. But don't do it to your windshield. If you tint all the other windows then the windshield will look tinted too, unless you look at if very closely. Then if you tint your windshield 35% and the side windows 5%, it will be noticable. You'll get caught with that set up. So just tint the side and back windows. Tinting the windshield will limit your forward visibility at night. That is not a good thing.

If you really want to have a good time, set your cruise control, close your eyes, let go of the wheel, count to ten then open your eyes and see where you're going. The faster you go, the more fun it is. It's almost the same thing as driving at night with a tinted windshield particularly if it's raining, except that in the 'close your eyes' senario you have a choice to be able to see again. With a tinted windshield you don't have the choice except to drive into a ditch and wait until daylight.
