Time to go?
I may just keep my f150 then. I dont know. I guess I have to seriously weigh the pros and cons. I have to say I did not realize the maint. cost on a diesel was so high. I knew it was higher. Just not that high.
My brothers 4x4 Excursion has the V10 with a supercharger. That thing sounds like a 747 taking off when it accelerates, tows like nothing is behind it and rides pretty good (aftermarket shocks). It can outrun my FX4 all day long. It does get only about 11 mpg (loaded or unloaded) on premium, but it is a truck not a Focus.
If the f250 is going to be your only vehicle, get out the pen and paper and look at the basics, how far you drive, how often, etc. Also figure in higher registration, gas, insurance, etc.
Make the decision and stick with it, if it winds up keeping the bad **** F150, then I hope you have a brother (cousin, uncle, etc) that you can borrow a beast from if ever needed.

I have a 99 F250 V10, gets about 12 mpg. The V10's are great reliable engines with a lot of torque and power. No one buys one for the gas mileage though, they are perfect for commercial uses. If you end up buying a V10 get one thats newer than 2005 (If i remember right) the newer 3V have about 75 more HP than the 2V. Adding a supercharger kit makes a beast. I saw a guy with a V10 dually that had a supercharger and he could light up those tires like it was nothing
