Default Tag Light Glare

Anyone figure out a way to eliminate the tag light glare from the tail gate? This seems to take away from the truck

I think some members here tape the upper portion of the light, I know that won't fly here in PA with our annual inspections

You could tape off the bottom portion of the light and then spray the top with Vht nightshade. Idk just thinking out loud here.

I've done the tape on top part of the lights and it works great. Same piece of black Gorilla Duct Tape has been on there for over a year.

I'm going to use a relay to disable my lights when in reverse and will probably also add some additional lights under the bumper that turn on only on reverse. I have the parts already just need to get myself under there to install it.
