So finally back into town and worked on the tedious part tonight, so the way these tablets are set up is so that you can only have either one thing plugged in or you can charge. So obviously I had to change that so took the 30 pin connector and removed all the pins I didn't need and rearranged the ones I did, then I soldered in an otg setup ( usb with 20k ohm resistors to trigger otg mode) and then I wired into the vcc pins to allow a charger. An boom, it works. So I can use my sdr dongle and charge the tablet at the same time.

So basically just need some time to airbrush the woodgrain again, and waiting on a few parts.
Here is a video of it, powers on with ignition on, (only playing audio through front two speakers right now, missing parts haha) and then ignition off the tablet goes to deep sleep after 7 seconds and if you notice I have the code written so that it pauses the media playing as well. So when you turn the truck back on you can resume it. I'm still waiting on a line driver and a hi low converter for the audio to the subs which is why the speakers aren't super loud right now. Anyways here is a quick video an a couple pics, the screen actually has a huge viewing angle which is super nice

I'll let the pic speak for itself, also I can't get my iPhone to focus on the airbrush woodgrain so it doesn't show up in the pics. Messed with it for a while then just said forget it it is what it is

Installed, still tuning the stereo an stuff but crazy how close it looks to the original rendering. And angry birds whenever I'm at a gas station waiting or something haha

This is the original rendering I did.

And actual product below

Just curious but would you be up for airbrushing a few pieces for my truck? I would like the same wood grain pattern but a gray base coat instead of brown similar to the interior of a 2008 limited f150.
