Default Sync 2.2

Bucky. Thanks for the quick reply. Can you narrow it down some. There are 374 pages to that post and they are talking about 3.0, 2.2 w/o nav and more confusing stuff. I may sound lazy, but I really don't want to go through that many pages and still not be confident I'm downloading the right software.

1. Go to the Ford owner's website and register (https://owner.ford.com)

2. After registering, add your VIN to your account.

3. Check to see if you have a SYNC update here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...p-to-date.html

4. If an update is available, it will say something like "Software update v2.2 available", and click "Begin SYNC Update"

5. Click "Start Download"

And there you have it, the Sync 2.2 download from the safest source possible

Default Sync 2.2

Jimbo. I went to the website as you mentioned and it says my sync is up to date. I know I have 2.0 in my truck now and I want to use my I phone for navigation. Don't I need 2.2 to do this? My local dealership want $145 to download the software.

No you do not need version 2.2 for that. Apple Carplay/Android Auto will work with version 2.0 and above
