Default Sunglass console

How do you remove the sunglass console on a 2013 screw?
When I google this information it brings me back to this website and told me to do a search for headliner removal. I have done that search on this website but I get the Internet explorer page does not work. I've tried searching for more common things on this website and it's obvious the search function is down.

So does the sunglass console simply pull down because I don't see any screws that are holding it in place

It's held in place by metal prongs that plug into sockets in the overhead. It's held in place quite tightly, so grasp it where possible and pull down firmly. Just be careful and you won't break anything. Be aware that there are also wires that plug into the unit that must be unplugged once you get it loose.

To reinstall, carefully align it in place and press up firmly. I had to smack it underneath the metal "prongs" to get it locked back into place.

Good luck!

Be sure to pull as straight down as possible. You're right, those suckers hold tight and if you get crooked you can break the plastic tabs the push clips are pressed onto. (I work in plastics and have molded this type of overhead in the past. I've also replaced one in a '97 because I did just what I said you never want to do above!)

So am I pulling this thing straight down because according to the pictures above it says grasp the rear end which is towards the back of the cab let's say and pull that one straight down and then wiggle the front loose.

Four fingers hurting and I finally got the son of a bi*ch down. It's amazing how much force is needed to remove something that holds sunglasses lol.

One issue I'm running into is there is a little black brace that attaches to the roof of the truck which holds the sunglass holder into place. I took the two screws out that are holding it to the roof but this brace will not fit through the hole that is cut out in the headliner.
It appears they put this brace in first then installed the headliner over it.
In the picture below that is the back part of the brace closest to the front seats. I need to cut out a rectangular hole in that area. I guess I can always use a Dremel tool and do it while it's in place.
