Default Stupid question...

Thanks to the help on this forum, I just got my new to me 1999 5.4 4x4 XLT ext cab running.

Question, can anyone describe how these things feel when accelerating at first. Mine seems to studder a little off the line. Might just be how a v8 torque heavey engine gets off the line? I have just never driven anything to compare it to/.

Given the low end torque these things have, I imagine they lope a little off the line right? It seems to run just a little ruff right off the line. Pleanty of power and the thing runs smooth as soon as I am rolling.

Just did the COPs and plugs. This is not the trans and really not that bad at, just not sure if I still have any engine issues going on.

I have never experienced any studdering and I got the 5.4.

What kind of studdering is it? Could it be your wheels or do you think it's the motor or trans?

maybe some seafoam through the intake would help a bit in reducing the roughness?
