1988 bronco ll xl HELP
i have been working on restorring my bronco and i had to replace the fuel sender and also replaced the gass tank. but after all the tubes and wiers the bronco wont start. i think im not getting fuel to my engine. what could have gone wrong???
Please give us more information about your truck. engine, etc. The first thing I would do is get a subscription with All Data DIY. http://www.alldatadiy.com/ this is an online shop manual. I have a subscripton that covers my 1995 F150 I have all of the service bulletins, recall notices, electrical diagrams, etc. If you cannot afford this go to Autozone and register they have fairly comprehensive service diagrams there. with and old truck like yours it might be best to replace the wiring harness but unforunately they are not cheap. In your diagnostic work if you find a bad wire don't just replace the bad section replace the entire run back to the switch, fuse, etc. If you don't already have on get yourself a Multimeter they have some good ones at RadioShack, this one..... http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103174
is just 20 dollars and will do everything you will need and more.
Be very careful working on your fuel system disconnect the battery when tracing the wiring, one spark in the wrong place and your truck is burnt to the ground, if you happen to be in wrong place as well you will be injured and could die from burn injuries. Keep a fire extinguisher close at hand.

Check the inline fuel filter also I think it's still carb'd so check the filter where the fuel line goes into the carb. I'd also check the accelerator pump on the carb
