Default Stereo questions

I just installed a new deck in my 91 f 150 nite edition. The new deck was working fine untill I went to push the whole deck into the slot of my dash and I heard a wire spark and since then not even my old deck will work and my cab lights don't work either now. None of the fuses are blown and everything else in my truck works? Wtf?

Which fuse block did you check? Did you check the fuses visually or with a meter?

A fuse is blown for sure, you need to pull em and test em

I only visually checked them but not a single one in my cab underneath my steering wheel were blown or even smelt crispy I'm almost positive it's my security system because when I test the amount of power getting to the stereo the power stops right at the base of the deck which leads me to believe it's a security related issue

Huh??...Ok, now that I've recovered Just because a fuse looks good or doesn't smell crispy doesn't mean the fuse is good. As for the security system causing the issue, I doubt it. You stated that you heard sparking, meaning you shorted or grounded a power carrying lead. The issue is likely one of the following: A fried radio, a fuse on the back of the radio or in the harness, a faulty fuse/link, a burned wire, an open lead or bent pin in the wiring harness. Also check for proper grounding and that you didn't accidentally use the dimmer wire for power.

Here's the thing though I'm getting power all the way up to the deck of the stereo and it stops right before it reaches the face plate? The stereo is definantly getting power. Wtf? And my old one won't work either which rules out burnt stereo I think. I'm thinking security system

I have a security module underneath my steering column that I was thinking was responsible. Like it locked me out thinking I was stealing the stereo when I was pulling my old one out. But what puzzles me is the stereo was working at one point and then all this
