spark plugs ????

Default spark plugs ????

my 2006 f-150 has 64,000 miles. and now has a rough idle the ford dealership does not want to replace the spark plugs. because they are good for 100,000 miles. and i really believe its the plugs can anybody help?? and gas mileage is worse than ever. i am a long time believer in fords i also own a 1968 ford f-100 a great truck. thanks for any help.

If it is a warranty issue and they are fixing it due to that, of course they don't want to replace the plugs, they are known to break.

so that is why they are prolonging this. i have run an obd check and nothing shows up. not even a misfire. so what am i looking for as far as me changing the plugs. or should i push the the dealer to do it?

Search this forum. There has been a lot of discussion on this issue. There are also many tips on how to DIY the spark plugs pretty problem free.

what does the dealership have to say about the rough idle, running (ie. what did they diagnose the problem as?)
