Default Spark plug test on Horsepower

On Todays (4/12) of Horsepower they tested the E3 spark against the Bosch Plus 4. The E3 has a similar design to the Brisk Halo plug. The E3 beat out the plus four with a little better fuel efficiently and a little over 5 more horse power. they have them at Checker/Parts America http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...pe=960&PTSet=A

These E3's are are about 2 bucks cheaper then the Halo's,

I saw that to. They Tested it on a LS-1 Engine got 406hp without the E3 plugs and then 412hp with the E3. was a really good showing! But i wonder if like most upgraded plugs, you have to have an upgraded ignition coil and wires to accomidate the new plugs?

I call BS on this one. You are not going to gain horsepower simply by changing sparkplugs.

In this case they did gain just over 5 hp on a dyno. You are partially correct in the change of spark plugs in an of it's self does not magically increase the horse power what they do is make the combustion process more efficient thus getting more ka-boom out of the fuel in the combustion chamber which does increase HP.

u know i saw a set of aftermarket connectors to connect coil to spark plug.. they say it will increase performance of spark due to a tighter and better connection than oem.... in theory i could see how this would be nice but there are so many rip offs out there... the set was kind of high dollar also...
