Here is the link to the e3 sparkplug site. They have the answers to your questions.

well if e3 does in a truck what they do in lawnmowers and etc.. they are one badas* plug... seriously.. they were high dollar plugs but for people that couldnt keep a plug going in a lawn mower they would spend the money and put an e3 in and never have to change it again... myself included... mine going on 5 years now and lawn mower starts better now than ever did with others...

This is weird, on their website, it says that I need part E3.54, but on the other website to order them, it says that I need part E3.40. I have a 97 F150 XLT 4.6L. And like CountryBoywith89 said, will it be need to change the ignition coil and wires?

from experience you want to make sure that every link in the ignition system is operating at 100 percent... this is not a sales gimmick... if your plugs are new and wires are bad you can mess up coil packs and others... everything has to run optimal to make all parts concerned run optimal.. I found this out the hard way..

in other wordsm it would be better to just invest in a kit of coil and wires if I do buy those spark plugs.

what do you guys think of that:

I guess we could make it simple and just say that everything such as spark plugs etc need to be in good condition. Not sure how your truck is setup because i didnt look to see what year it is but you may have the coils on top of spark plug...

I would think any Ford spark system from the Duraspark I forward would do great with these hot spark plugs. For those of you with older trucks without electronic ignitions here is a link to an outfit that has kits to fit them into Ford Trucks back to 1949.

Brisk has another design that fascinates me. check this out. If the Halo, and e3 diamond fire plugs are better because they fire into to combustion chamber the this Brisk design would be even better.
