if you have an aftermarket head unit, and it's strong enough, then you won't need an amp to run door speakers, unless you have like 12. an amp running your sub that is stronger than the peak power of your sub, will need the power control **** thing, but if you have a sub that is stronger than your amp, your head unit will contol everything itself. well this is my past experience so I may be wrong/ it may be different to you lol

I'm sorry if that was confusing lol whoever you get to install it, can tell you different ways to do things and it's all up to you how you want it to be lol

i think you confused yourself more than you confused us. I havent had someone install my stereo crap in over a decade.
