Default Slow Loading Forum: The Scripts Are Crazy!@

I just purchased an F-150 and have been trying to use this forum as a resource. It does appear to provide a wealth of information. However, it is slow as all get out to load.

I'm even getting notifications from my browser that pages are locking up because of slow-loading Java-Scripts. Ran a page through gtmetrix and it shows the page took 14 seconds to load: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.f150forum.com/ThVbkESk

I think most of the scripts are due to ads, which are a necessary revenue stream. However, these scripts are rendering this website virtually impossible to use.

Anyone found a good way to minimize the scripts on this forum?

I'm running Firefox with Ad Block Plus installed. No problems. What browser are you using?

Usually not an issue with loading for me either. Firefox here too.

Firefox w/ adblock plus and no-script. You have to let some scripts run.

no issues here either... the new posts page usually loads in 1-2 seconds max, not enough to see any kind of noticeable delay. I do run AdBlock though

Firefox with Bluhell Firewall add-on. Sometimes the Bluhell causes pages to load funky, but it sure strips out the scripts and ads.

Thank you so much for posting this here where I would find it!
Just added Adblock to my mozilla and WOW the forum is so much faster!

Again thank you for ignore the hint/tip monster and not hiding a great tip deep in the bowels of the forum!
