Hello everybody, I've looked for a thread to my question and can't find one, so I hope somebody can help me. I've done the "overlay" on the tailgate emblem on my 05' and that look ok for awhile, like 3 yrs. But I recently order a Billet one and would like to know if anybody has taken theres off, and how they did it, is the emblem installed like on the front grill with two lock nuts, or is it double sided tape only. If anybody can help that would be great thank you for your time.

 

I have not done the tail gate yet...did the front...I believe it just pops off with a little help..don't see ant other way.

 

My tailgate has the letters stamped in. However a few years ago the little one on the front just fell of while I was driving ( I guess it was on when I left but gone when I got where I was going) the new one just snapped in. Like those GD plastic things that hold the door panel on but smaller

 

I used fishing line to get mine off worked great. Just slide behind and move up and down comes off easy
