It was mentioned before,
You have to press lock, I due it twice, but once is recommended. Press the 2X in the circle, Twice. It should start with the second press.
I believe you either have Three or Five seconds to press the 2X. Otherwise you may have to repeat the procedure?

I just had a Ford remote start kit installed by the dealership. All the functions on the new fobs work easly at 100 feet except the start. I have to be within 30-50 feet of the truck for it to work. Not what I expected for almost $400.

Pull the key fob battery out and put it back in, I had the same problem and reseating the battery did the trick.

I'll try this. But both fobs I have won't start the engine.

If you choose to take the dealer route, tiresmoke, I'll escalate this to a regional customer service manager for further assistance. Please send me a private message with your full name, VIN, servicing dealership, current mileage, and best daytime contact number. I'll get started right away!

I haven't gone to the dealer yet. I'll try some of the suggestions that I read here & if no luck, its off to the dealer & I'll send you my info too.
Thanks
