regearing and elocker - 2wd

Paxford...
Very nice follow up. You mentioned 9.75 and also talked about that w/ the foreman. My question is, are you swapping out axle to get the 9.75 or does your 2wd already have the 9.75? I know my late 06 2wd has the 8.8, but I didn't know of any 2wd for the 9.75 except the HD's. Not sayin that you don't have it, just I never knew of any. If you have the 8.8, I would find an elocker that fits it, rather than upgrading to the 9.75 + an elocker. The only reason I say this is because there are far more gears for the 8.8 than the 9.75. For example, 3.90 & 4.30 are available for the 8.8. not the 9.75.

I've been under the truck and confirmed its 9.75 3.55 LS, it was the starting point with the dealer, they are pretty on top of it, I don't cut them much slack! Not sure when they switched over but the F150 comes stock with the 9.75 now, which as you pointed out presents a problem because most everything good out there comes from the Stang's 8.8 parts box. In fact, the 9.75 options from Ford Racing from a few years ago have been discontinued, per a vendor. If I could find something in 9.75 from Ford Racing that has been sitting for a few years that might work, but it would be a hunt to locate I suspect.
My 2wd did not have the max tow package and was pretty much a stock XLT, so I believe any F150 in 2010 will have the 9.75. I haven't looked at Auburn to see if there are 9.75 options yet. Do you get any chatter in turns from the Auburn, and do you know if it comes in 9.75?

10-4 on the axle info. Thanks! As far as my Auburn goes, no chatter in turns whatsoever. The locker I actually purchased was designed for street racing, not just drag strip, but autocross events. I love it. Here is a quick look at what they had to offer when I clicked Ford:

I would also give them a call. Real helpful. The Auburn ECTED is supposed to be one bad *** diff as well. Hope this helps some.

Paxford and Mlkx4 - I agree that the elocker would be the best choice but I have looked both under the dash and at the rear end and do not have the wiring. I do have the Heavy Tow Pkg. with Trailer Break Controller. Without having a wiring diagram I am not sure if the elocker requires 12 volts or some reduced voltage or if it is required that it be controlled through the computer. There is just not enough information available for the GKN elocker that Ford uses to make me feel good about just running a wire to the unit. Especially on a truck with 5,000 miles on it.
I might be forced to keep the elocker as it took over thirty days for the body shop to find and get this one. If that happens I will try to make it work.
