^ That's how I understood it. They use that liquid steel and seize the motor up and you can't touch the entire vehical for nothing.

Sucks.. I could use some of the parts...

from my understanding, you are allowed to pull parts, but the goal of the bill was to get old cars off the road. i was told that legally the truck could not be sold in one piece, but it could be cut in half and sold as 2 pieces and then put back together. you can even pull of the engine but they worked that over so it'd be a waste of money and time

Thank GOD Ford stood on their own 2 feet and didn't take his payoff money..

Yes yes, it's all Obama's fault. Never mind the lackeys in the House and the Senate who passed this bill, it's easier to blame Barry right?

Also, that $17 billion dollar bail out that GM and Chrysler took came from the Bush administration. By chance do you recall something called the "Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP)? We'll give billions of dollars to banks, investment firms, insurance agencies, and auto manufactures but the minute someone thinks providing health care for all is a good idea everyone jumps up and down and screams "SOCIALIST"!

My head hurts.

im not much into politics in a truck forum, but I release it in other forums. What happened to the whole blame who is in office for everything? liberals backed out on that one didn't they, now that they are in power. This country will never recover from the debt, and you wanna talk about who was in the house and senate, both were ruled by democrats when bush was in power and still is ruled by democrats. Democrats claim to be for the middle class yet they put us in the most debt, then when they can't find a way out they raise our taxes. I'm from New Jersey so I know what stupid game they play, we have the highest everything in the country. (sales tax, income tax, property tax) and the list goes on.

Sorry, that just got to me a little bit.

I'm not sure if this was pointed at me or not but my comment was not a dem v repub nor was it a liberal v conservative. It was a correction to the ham fisted blame Obama or Bush for every perceived woe (which seems to get under your skin as well). Very common here especially when it comes to threads that discuss that stupid CARs program. The way some people talk around here you would swear they think Obama wrote it all himself on the back of a cocktail napkin then signed it into law all by his lonesome. Consult google for civics, I think it was School of Rock who made a nifty little animation about the little bill on Capitol Hill.

I'm sorry you live in New Jersey, but at least you don't have to pump your own gas.
