Default Questions before purchase

Well I have going back and forth on a purchase either the F150 or a dodge diesel. I really don't justify the diesel and saw my buddies new 150....sweet it is. Well I'm looking at a 2011 lariat. Wanted to get the long bed but do not think i have enough room in my garage to fit it. Will fit but cramped. My concern, and maybe you guys can help me, is that I want to fit an ATV in the bed....will the short bed fit a standard size ATV with the gate down......also another question is when should I purchase it. If I order one they cannot tell me what incentives will be available when it comes in. Anyone have any ideas about upcoming incentives.....

Thanks in advance.

I think you will prefer the Ford over the dodge. The cummings are good motors but they have a crap dodge built around it, haha! Ive only heard around 2000 for incentives but every area is different, if you want good incentives wait till this time next year to buy a 2011, or buy a 2010 now.

I can't hardly imagine they will, frankly. My Warrior just fit in the back of my Mazda B2000 with a 6' bed with the gate down....the 'short' bed on a F-150 is 6" shorter than that.

It will be damned close, for sure.

I guess you could go measure from the nose of your ATV to the centerline of the rear wheels and see what that dimension is....should give you an idea of what you have to have at a minimum.

Good luck! Don't go with the Dodge...it will fall apart in two - three years....seriously.

I put a Sportsman 500 4 wheeler in my 6.5 foot box. It was about 6 inches from the tailgate closing. I also have a tonneau cover that takes up a little bit of room of the front. I think you should be fine with the 5.5 box.

Are you talking about the 6.5 foot bed on the Supercab, or the 5.5ft bed on the supercrews? (supercrews also come with 6.5ft bed) Just wondering which "short bed" you're talking about. I have a 2001 supercrew with a 5.5ft bed and I can fit my snowmobile in it with the tailgate down, so I'm pretty sure a ATV would fit but the tailgate would definitely have to be down.
