Question on Truck features
Does the 2013 Ford F-150 XLT not have those cool buttons you can program to open your garage door? My wife's 2013 Chrysler van has them, and my neighbors older Nissan Titan has them, I cant believe that Ford did not put these in, please tell me I am just not seeing them or something?

I may be wrong, but I think garage home link is a stand alone option on the XLT, but standard on all trims after that. My 2013 Lariat has the buttons on the visor.

My XLT has a lot of extra options, I have the backup camera, remote start and the rear window opens via control between the map lights. Where can I look to see if I have this garage home link option?

According to the 2013 F-150 order guide Universal Garage Door opener was not available (even as a option) for the XLT trim level.
Guess it's time to use the "2013 Chrysler van" or get an "older Nissan Titan".
Or here's a suggestion ... Put a controller from your garage door opener maker in your vehicle.

Ok Joe you got me, I was not being lazy I just wanted to see if the truck had the option and perhaps I just wasn't aware of it's location. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.

My 13 xlt didn't come with it either, I use the remote the door came with. If it did have it, it would be located on the driver sun visor visible with the visor folded to the up position against the head liner.

The Homelink option wasn't available on my 2010 FX4, so I bought a Homelink module and followed the instructions on the link below to add it to my truck - looked factory and was pretty simple to do.

Another idea is a Flash2Pass transmitter and receiver. The transmitter wires up to your headlight high beam circuit. The receiver has a positive and negative that wire into the back of your garage door button. Works great and doesn't require any cutting or modding of the interior. The kits run about 80 bucks. I bought an extra transmitter so I can open the door with my motorcycle or my truck.
