Default Question regarding tow option

This is a sissy question but I have a 2015 F150 XLT with navigation and towing option.
My problem is that I have a very nice Ford Logo taillight that goes into the trailer hitch and is lit up by pluging into the 4 wire traler plug in. When I connect this light my dash lights up saying I have a trailer hooked up and to get rid of that screen I have to press the OK button, then when I turn left it lights up again left turn light is working press Ok button again then of right turn and brakes all have there turn. This requires 4 actions to clear the dash. Is there a way to bypass this.

Yes. Wire it up properly to the taillight wire.

I used this on my 2014 with no problem and it is factory wired and plugs into the factory trailer wire plug so do not understand the rewiring . The feed is correct if I was hooked on to a trailer but this is just a plug in but I wonder if there is something that I can reset on the on board computer that I can eliminate the four OKs every time I start the truck..
Thanks
Jim

Computer senses the presence of a "trailer" when it sees the draw of the light. Don't know how your '14 was equipped.

My 2014 was equipped identically than this one except no brake control unit and no navigation. Not sure if the brake control unit is simply built in to my 2015 but as I stated this unit worked fine on my 2014 and it had a trailer tow package as well ,but not so much computer in it.

It is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Wire it up properly if you don't want the prompts.

I agree with you that it is doing exactly what it should do. My thoughts were that there was a way to access the on board computer to block this program. I am not that much in love with my Ford logo light that I am interested in doing some rewiring. Thanks for the help.

Yes, That is exactly how I feel when it comes to computers only I would not be at the point of doing the probe. Thanks for the reply. A bit of humor.
