pulled over
Sorry to get this thread off topic. Not trying to argue, just simply think many times we have to give an officer the benefit of the doubt, just as we would hope and expect from and officer or other person at times. I'd much rather an officer pull someone over he thought was drunk, but wasn't, than let a person who he/she thought was drunk go their merry way and possible injure/kill someone.
Honest, I dont have anything against cops in general, if you knew my background, you would understand that. But I do hold them to a higher standard than your average Joe simply because of the responsibility they have. I feel the same way about doctors and pilots. Simple mistakes can quickly go to a whole other level when these types of professions are concerned.
I have gotten pulled over three times and breathalyzed only to blow zeros every time. They then proceed to tell me I should be very grateful they let me off with a warning (3 warnings). Cops, at least where I live, suck. They will pull everyone who passes over after 1am. Not only that I was given a $250 fine for "scattering rubbish over field and stream." I got that one for kicking a bottle in a public parking lot. Sad part is that stays on my permanent record. 90% of the time police are not doing anything to keep us safer, but I guess it the the 10% of the time that it really counts, or the fact that they there in the first place.
Yeah, I didnt intend for it to go off topic and I wasnt looking for an argument either (really more of a discussion than an argument).

Actually here in CO, both drivers would receive a ticket in this scenerio. The guy with front end damage would be given a ticket for following to close. The guy who was rear ended (if he slammed on his brakes starting the accident), would receive a ticket for reckless driving, basically a road rage type offense.
Yes you can blame the guy in the rear for hitting the driver in front, since he was clearly following too close. But the accident would most likely not have occurred had the driver in front not slammed on his brakes for no other reason than to scare the other driver or create the accident. I know it's annoying and hate when someone tailgates me, but why must people always break the law to start an accident and try to blame it soley on the other guy? You both broke the law, should share the blame.
So at least here in CO, both drivers would be found at fault and each guys insurance company would have to pay for their own client.

haha i still find it funny though that the guys name was Raper, hell i'd probably be pissed at the world too if that was my name.
got a speeding ticket back in april, 76 in a 45 down a back country road, when i still has my explorer. he cited me for 31 over and i lucked out cause he did not get for reckless operation, which i wasn't, i was in my own lane..also since i was only 17 at the time i had to go to traffic court two weeks after the ticket and received 60 days suspension with work and school privileges, the fine itself was only $75 court fees and it was either i go to a driving class for a day or pay a dollar per mph, which they dont really tell u that u have to take the class in order to get ur license back, anyway i dont speed that much any more cause i hate watchin the gas guage go down

Hell, I'd like it if people were held to any type of standard. Anymore today, people live by and judge others by their own standards. Which their own standards I find are a benefit me, punish others fashion.
Yup, know people like that. My sister in law and my mothers best friends are two of the worst drivers you'll ever meet. Tailgating, no blinkers, cut people off, speeding, aggressive driving, you name it they do it. But lord if anyone else does that on the road, they raise hell about these "other drivers" being horrible drivers and not obeying the rules of the road and what not. It's actually hilarious for a while, but gets old and a little scary after a while. So I'll drive myself or will call a taxi if ever they are the driver. They also claim to be good drivers and make excuses about their bad driving because they know how to drive and know what they're doing.
