Default Price Range Question

Hey, all...

As those of you who have read my introductory post know, I am very seriously considering an F150 as my first truck and next vehicle. Ideally, I would love to get a 2015 F150 XL (regular cab, 6ft. box), but I am also very seriously looking at the 2007-generation F150, as that is my favorite body style/look for the F150 so far. Anyway... I was wondering if someone could tell me what condition of that 2007-gen body style I could REALISTICALLY expect to get with a budget of say around $15,000, cash. I'd like to be able to afford a nice example, but as this would be my first experience with buying a truck, I'm not sure what to expect, in the used market, in terms of prices and condition.

You should be able to find a pretty nice , fairly low mileage F150 of that generation for $15k especially if you don't mind a 2wd truck (you don't mention that as a must).

Thanks, Adam! Yeah, a 2wd is pretty much what I'm after. I'd like to find something in pretty decent shape, with a tan interior... that much is a must... it has to have the tan interior. In a perfect world, if I had my choice, I'd like to find one in green or maroon, with the beige lower body trim, like on the Lariat or King Ranch... similar to the older Eddie Bauers.

Check out autotrader.com for your area. I live there lately.

My dad bought his 07 Lariat scab 3 rs ago for $18k i think. tan interior 40k miles and prices are high where i live. I bought an 04 04 scab STX from my neighbor for $10500 2 years ago with 57k miles. So deals are out there with your price range for sure.

NICE! Yeah, I'd be totally happy to find something like this one.

No reason to be worried about craigslist. That one you posted seems too good of a price to be true. Normally if thats the case there is a reason behind it....

Tons of scams on craigslist! Lots of reason to be concerned especially about cars!

Meet face to face person to person. Do your research and nothing to worry with. No don't send money to someone you have never met, but CL is no different than meeting any owner for a vehicle....
