theese are some pics of my almost complete rear disc conversion for my 89!

i added a fill plug first

all new 4.10 gears and axle shafts..

the rotors have not gotten around to welding the caliper mounts yet still need to have one more made!!

Are those rotors the same bolt pattern as the front? What are they from? Custom drilled lug spacing? What will the calipers be from? Do they have provisions for a parking brake?
I did want to see this so you should have expected lots of questions.

So what rotors are those? I don't know of any rear rotors with the truck bolt pattern. Common conversion caliper is from a Cadillac (although I can't remember which) that has the e-brake.
It would be good to know for when you have to replace them. I'm going to look into doing this on my truck, although it may just be one of those dream plans. What are you doing for the brake proportioning? I assume you're dumping the rear ABS since you've swapped rears.

yeah i can find out i think he told me just cant remember i had all theese parts since around x-mas and just started the actual project not to long ago lol no time on my hands lately errrrrrrr!! as far as the proportioning and all that goes im leaving that to my bro him and i are going to be putting it in next weekend and he is the pro in that depeartment i can put the thing together and bolt it in but i wasnt planning on messing with running lines and all that good stuff thats all him.. but i will keep you posted so when its your turn youll be on the rigth track!!
Cool, sounds good. I'm more familiar with the Chevy braking system so I know exactly what to do for one of those. Ford uses that little valve that screws onto the master cylinder to take care of the proportioning, so I don't know if just removing that would boost the pressure but the fronts still have to grab slightly before the rears do for better control. On a Chevy the stock proportioning valve would be removed and replaced with an adjustable one. I think for lines all you will have to do is add rubber lines from the steel ones to the calipers since the calipers actually move with wear.
yeah im not sure either this is my first time doing anyhting like this so its a learning expierience lol so wish me luck!! im proud of myself for doing this much on my own to be honest haha but i will def keep u updated sean!!
