The gasket on the 820 is as large as the outside of the filter that’s on it. Thank

That still doesn't answer my question. How does it compare to the one that was on it?

Is 820s gasket larger or smaller or the same size as the gasket on the filter that you took off of the truck?

The threads match but the gasket will be outside of where it suppose to go. Sorry if I’m not saying this right

Okay, pictures of the following:

1. Engine
2. Location where the filter attaches without the filter on.
3. Old filter with new filter together (side (with brand name and model number shown) and the top where the gasket is)

This will help us see what you are seeing because, everything I can find says the 820S should fit.

Keep in mind that the old filter maybe the wrong filter.

You took it to an oil change place and they put the equivalent to a FL500s on, smaller filter, 8 PSI bypass but otherwise the same as the FL820s in where it can mount to. The Threads are the same and the gasket is in the same place and the same size.
