As for relocating the oil filter I have done this on older cars and trucks. If you have a car or truck with a hard to reach filter this is a great way to fix that problem. The kits are real easy to install you just have an adapter which screws on in place of the original filter is located and you have two hoses that come from this fitting to the remote filter. The hardest part of the conversion is finding a place to put it under the hood. I have seen some of them that where mounted out front behind the grill, combined with a external oil cooler. Below are some links to where you can purchase these kits you can see these kits are not expensive.

A Blitz brand 15 quart oil container. Available at Autozone.
Last time I tried to install that truck part, the oil filter, I had a hard time doing it... I think I missed some screws or something

Thats not that bad, my onld ranger had the filter right below the exhaust maniflold and the frame rail so whenever you would do it warm or hot i would burn the back of my wrist all the time.

sorry. I know i am going to get it for this, but i do use the wrench to tighten it. i just don't crank on it. i can feel when it gets snug. only use the body of wrench, not by the handle. oily hands don't let me get it tight enough for my preferences.

I don't have any problems getting the filters hand tight. I have problems getting them loose. When I finally do get the filter loose, there is very little space to pull it out of the gap without spilling more oil.
