Officially Truckless for the First Time in 25 Years...
...and I'm already missing not having a truck (and its only been 6 hours now)! OK Ford, get on the stick and build (oh yeah, and ship) my new F-150 so I can get back to normal!

Veteran, retired Navy..
Is there a reason you let go of your current truck before the new one shows up ??

CA registration (which is ridiculously expensive) was due, it ate gas like a hog so I wasn't using it all that much and I was ready to let it go. Maybe I shoulda paid it just to have a truck until my new one arrives, but...you know how sometimes you are ready to move on--I'm ready/excited for a new truck! Bummer it will take so long to see it.

Nothing exotic, just a really basic F-150XL regular cab, 2.7 and 3.55 locker, 6.5 bed, and the power and chrome packages. I like clean, simple and as light as I can get something, looking forward to the power (I'm a big fan of turbo motors) and mileage of the EcoBoost as compared to the guzzling of my old 360 Dodge motor.

has left the building
I was going to say that I expect to be in the same boat as you, however your thread is click bait. haha
Figured you were saying good-by to trucks.
I am in a '16 Lariat with 14mpg. I feel your fuel/registration pain.

Oh man, 14 MPG--that woulda been straight downhill with a stiff tailwind for me! (Then again, I probably would only have gotten 13). Looking forward to better power and more mileage, for sure. Wish I didn't have to wait, but everything is a wait now unless you get lucky.

@Billy16 Any updates available on your order. Love the picture of your avatar. I went 9 years without a truck during my working career. I was racking up lots of miles in the daily commuter. The 2.7L is a nice engine. I had two trucks with the 2.7 and 6.5 bed loved them both. Traded the 15 for the 18 scab but spoiled by the Crew cab 18 after having the 18scab totaled.

yours will likely be even better with the 10 speed.
