Changed the ECU/PCM in my 2013 F150, 3.7L, and need to reset Passive Anti Theft System (PATS) parameters in order to use my existing keys. The truck is stuck at home, nowhere near a shop and I need a reasonably priced OBD device that will reset the parameters for the PATS. Where can I find that device?

 

A simple "OBDII reader" won't do the job. You need a scan tool with advanced capabilities to re-program PATS.

Forscan on a Windows laptop with free/extended license plus a Forscan-recommended OBDII adapter will get you going.
