I don't come on these forums to rant and rave about gas mileage or prices. I knew what I was getting into when I bought my truck and wouldn't trade it for anything. I get more SMILES per gallon with my truck than anyone I know. BUT I do care about gas mileage, and drive accordingly. If you kept a log like I do, you might be astonished how much all that gas adds up to money wise. The attitude of "I got a truck and don't give a **** about gas mileage at all" is a bad attitude/outlook IMO. If for no other reason, you should pretend you actually care about your money so truck companies will start working on coming up with more fuel efficient options. Truck owners finally have realized how much gas hits their wallet and have demanded more fuel efficiency. And guess what, now truck companies are actually starting to try

LOL. Good point!

In all seriousness though, I drive a truck because it allows me to do the things that my VW didn't. Granted, I would love to have better mileage but, I'll take what I can get and I fully support Ford building more efficient power plants now so that my next truck will be a touch better in the fuel department.

I am lucky to get 10 MPG in town. See sig for reason why. While we all brag about how tough our trucks are maybe now we can brag about the MPG too.

Just buy a cheap beater and drive it. When you need the truck drive it instead

Just wrote this thread as a way to vent. lol I wish my truck did get better mpg. But when people are always asking about mpg it gets annoiying. I wish I could say I have enough money not to care about my mileage but I cant.

I know that my truck gets crap mileage, the reason why I ride motorcycle. I believe the real complaint should be---why are gas prices going up for no reason, seems to me that all it takes is for the middle east to fart and they go up. Yet gas companies post record quarter earnings, which means gas really didn't go up, the CEO aren't just happy with just being millionaires, they think they need to be billionaires or more. It is corporate greed that drives it up, not the economy. JUST my rant.
