My family is not pro union. Yes 3 worked at Ford. None put food on my table.

That's true but those brands still rank among the top each year of initial owner quality survey's and Ford always ranks at the bottom..I love my ford trucks, I just want the QC bar to be raised before our trucks leaves the plant..Not expect the dealer to clean up the messes. My family is union and I listen to them BS about guys not carrying there weight and making everyone else look bad but cant be fired because of all the union BS rules that protect them..And we wonder why our trucks cost 50k..

While I love my truck, Ford QC does need to wake up. 6/10 of my body panels have paint inclusions. Little particulates under the paint causing "pimples" in the finish.

When pictures were sent to Ford, it was deemed UNACCEPTABLE. They are obvious defects, VERY easy to spot, yet somehow it made it past QC in Kansas....

Picture doesn't really show it.

I would doubt that someone removed any TPM sensors, you have to break the tire down and they tend to break coming out. What's more likely is the wheel/tire was swapped with another one. Think about it, the light wasn't on it first. If it had left the factory missing a TPM that means the BCM would have never learned the TPM's ip address thus the light would never go off. The fact that the light was off at some point means their had to be a Sensor in that tire before.

Union or no union, I'm sure the men and women who build these trucks take great pride in what they build. Ford makes the best truck in the world.

I agree, sounds like someone at the dealer did a wheel/tire swap

Just curious why you bought a Ford, especially a $50k ford? I mean if the quality is crap and built by lazy people who cannot get fired, and the products rank so low in initial owner satisfaction. why on earth would you buy one of the products and support that kind of product or workmanship? That seems crazy to me if you believe what you say.

By your reasoning, you should buy a Toyota or Nissan because they are not built by unionized, lazy workers who can not be terminated, and they rank at the top of initial surveys. Then throw in the fact that they are cheaper!

Ford is going to charge what the market is willing to pay. Just seems like some good old fashioned union bashing by someone who has probably never been in one.

Blaming the union is so 1970's truckowner. Move on. Guess you think someone in mexico making a buck an hour will do a better job. Stuff happens, sure Ford will take care of it.
Mecha hang in there, realize it's highly frustrating.
Best Regards

Yep!! UPS union,,So whats your point smart ***??? I like Ford trucks, best looking trucks on the road..doesn't mean I am always happy with the QC. I buy the 7yr warranty because I know I will need it and it will pay for itself..Never bought any extended warranty on wifes Nissan,Honda and now Subaru..Never ever needed it til the day we traded em in. Stop trying to reading between the lines..I can assure you I am not the only one who feels this way..

Glad you can have an intelligent conversation without resorting to name calling! Not reading between any lines, you said it, not me! You being a union person, should know that all unions are not equal and you can absolutely be terminated from any place of employment! The question is whether or not your union will find you another job. Never really met a unionized union hater.

I also never said you were the only one that felt this way! I just pointed out that you were union bashing, saying Ford workers were lazy and could not be terminated, that the products rank at the bottom of the survey pile, cost $50k, but yet you still buy one, sounds intelligent to me! Have a good day! OP sorry to crap up your thread!

Actually, Lemon Laws cover different things in different states, and there usually is an overall "repeated failure" clause of some type. Resolution has nothing to do with the fact that things keep failing, the very idea behind lemon laws isn't that things aren't fixed it's that the device is a lemon, meaning unreliable.

However, I'd agree that these two instances aren't close.
