I bought my 97' new and now my daughter has it. She always told me that she wanted it so I gave it to her. now it sits in her driveway and I can visit it. I have checked out the manual but it qualifies everything with "if equiped". It never really explains what it does, just in general. It has "anti-theft" but is that just not letting the engine start? Can someone jack it up and steal the wheels? I will have have check it out more thoroughly.

Congrats on the new truck. She looks good. Can't wait to see what all you do to make her yours.

I doubt I will do anything to it. I was thinking about having it pin stripped but so far I have not changed anything. BTW, it now has 2050 miles on it. I would like to add a K&N fresh air system to it but that is a NO GO in CA.

Truthfully, the manufacturers are trying so hard to meet the federal MPG standards, they engineer every advantage into the engine functions like near perfect intake breathing and free-flowing exhaust routing for optimal performance. It's not at all like the old days when there were vast performance gains to be had cheaply by adding headers and a cold air box. You'll be wasting $0.99 of every $1.00 you plunk down on a CAI. Save you money and spend it on gas to enjoy driving your new truck!

Y'all didn't get anything for Christmas. You are grown men and Christmas is Dec. 25th. Blue Jeans is not a new color. Fresh air system ? Cabin filter.

perimeter alarm, If the door is opened when vehicle is locked, there is about a 15 second delay, then the alarm activates, as for shock sensors, glass break detection, that is not on the perimeter alarm.
