Default never use a fram filter

so yesterday after starting my truck getting it ready for a rebuild. i drove it for a little while. and when i floored it wot oil pressure dropped. so i pulled in to my buddys house rite away. after 3 hours of tracing where the problem would be. i decided to pull my filter and what do you no the guts in the filter exploded or come apart idk. something looks like it just couldnt hold up i put a purolater on there. took one start and a good rev for oil pressure to come back to life. any body else have this problem.

Thats weird. I've been running frams the last 17 years with an occasional different one. I worked at a quicky lube place when I was younger. I'm sure those filters were junk. Never heard of that happening. Sounds like my kind of luck.

Just passing along some important information
Ford has Serveral bullitins about FRAM oil filters coming apart and plugging oil passages in the cylinder heads of the 4.6/5.4 motors.
They have declined warranty repairs for these concerns, we advise all are custsmers to use only motorcraft filters with a silicone valve. this also apllies to other cheap aftermarket filter, The newer engines with tighter tolerances and higher oil pressures demand a better filter to handle it.
I'm not looking to start a war about oil filters I just passing along a fact and hopefully some information that will save someone alot of cash in non warranty repairs..
