Default Need More Legroom!

I'm new to full size pickups, and hope someone has an answer for this question. Last week I bought a 2002 Super Crew King Ranch. It's in great shape, everything works well--even the 6 CD changer! I'm happy except for one issue.

I am very tall, and have very long legs. With the seat pushed fully to the rear, the pedals adjusted as far forward as possible, and the steering wheel / column pushed up as far as possible, my leg from knee to foot will not fit between the wheel and the set. To brake, I have to slide my foot in from the side, and it's a (scary) chore to keep my toes from sliding off the brake pedal.

The local dealer and custom shops all say, "Can't help you." I thought of perhaps a replacement steering wheel with a flat bottom, but they are all racing wheels and too small for normal driving. There is nothing in the manual to help, and I really need to find a way to get by this issue.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions what I might do?

Many thanks!

Adam

Hmm. Recommend removing driver seat and drive while sitting in rear seat. Sounds like you have the height to make it happen. I kid. I kid. What have you been driving before moving a large full size truck?

Not buying this thread. Happy the CD changer is working well? Umm, okay. Can’t fit in an F150? Maybe a Kenworth is better suited.

I drove a 1992 S-Class Mercedes W140 body 300SD. No parts to be had anymore...

Maybe a Kenworth would be better. Not very handy, though.

A Kenworth or a Peterbilt has less legroom than an F-150.

That 6 disk changer won't work for long. They overheat.
