Default Need Help!!!

I have a 04 F-150 with a 4.6L. It has 64,000 km's on the engine and I had to replace both heads on it last week. Now I have the security light coming on when I am driving which as you know kills the engine. I have tried both keys to see if it is the chip but it doesn't make a difference.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Or should my truck spontaneously catch fire!

I don't think you are going to catch on fire. Sounds like a fault in the anti-theft device. You may need to take it to a shop to check the system. First, you could check for any fault codes from the computer.

I know that my truck wont catch fire because of the light. I am considering the quick fix of a match in the gas tank.

I am 4,000 km past warranty and the truck cost me $4,000 last week for the engine repairs.

$4,000 sounds a bit steep for replacing the heads.

Did the dealership quote you $4k on replacing the heads?? I can see why they said tht because we all know how exspensive they are. Have you ever taken an engine apart before?? Doing heads is fun but can be a PITA.

I know how to change the heads. But I didnt want to have to do it in my driveway at -20. I ranted and raged until ford covered half the repair.

I used to be a heavy duty mechanic but never had to work on small little gas engines so I'm not up on all the computer crap.

That is why the anti-theft malfunction I am having is eluding me.

It starts fine and runs for a little while. If it is driving the anti-theft LED comes on and it cuts out the engine (not stalls) just cuts out. Then after a few seconds the light disappears and the truck runs fine for another couple of minutes.

PITA, or not, $4000 is still high, imho.

You could buy a replacement engine for less than that.
