Nope.. Still wouldn't change my thought. Too many dealerships in/around KC and I'd wager you haven't hit them all.
And if by your location of Kansas/Missouri puts you near FT Leavenworth... I hope you are not considering Zeck Ford in Leavenworth as a reputable dealership.

Don't buy that truck. There are too many negatives. Remember, the dealer is NOT yoour friend.

Wrecked......repossessed.....

Maybe the prior owner was a great guy who got hit by someone else and honestly fell on hard times financially.

Maybe the prior owner didn't pay his bills and drove like an idiot.

I wouldn't gamble that much many on his character. Could very well be that this truck was beat on and neglected by a deadbeat who skipped on regular oil changes.......pass.

Educate me. What's wrong with Zeck? All I know is what I've heard through the grapevine.

Now this is specific to Zeck Ford in Leavenworth... (Unsure if there are others in the KC area)
Much like your information I have no personal experiences with their sales but some bad experiences of buddies who have bought from them. I will go back and and see if I can get the names of the sale's reps and specifics. If I recall the bigger of them correctly... it was shady practice/dealing/financing with a vehicle on their used lot.

My bad experiences, with them, are all in the Maintenance area. Recommended fixes to problems that don't exist / misdiagnosis... Which is why i started takeing my truck to Accutune down the road from them.

**Edit** Went back through the mail... I guess what I should have said was they are not really any better/different/more reputable than the multitude of other Ford Dealers we have in this area... hell I think there are 2-3 others within 10-15 miles of Zeck. Most of them have their issues... pile this on to the fact that it is a previously wrecked vehicle ... Still suggest you walk away and look at something else or somewhere else.

There's no rebuilt title or bent frame. Just the fact there was an accident. Dealer is trying to find service records for the VIN to see if they can get more information. Vehicle was bought at auction and it "passed the 120 point inspection."

Dealer is one of the leading Ford guys in the Metro and I've heard nothing but good things from a lot of people that have bought there. Also, there is over two yrs/30k left on the warranty.

Not trying to make excuses, just adding facts.

In this area, without traveling more than 100 miles and going through a lot of hassel, this price for this truck is pretty good. Does that change any opinions?
If you are happy buying this unit do do - it's your $30k.

You said the frame wasnt bent. So, tell us when you and a
body shop expert that you hired inspected that truck on a lift, lifted the hood, opened the doors and all. And what does is "moderate to severe" damage mean Just think it through yourself.

You asked the question and got suggestions. We all wish you good luck.

Not only no but HELL NO!! If your in the kc area look at woodhouse in Blair Nebraska. About 3 hours north of you and I believe they are the largest volume dealer in the us. There about 8 miles from me. They have what they call truck mountain and it's just that . Insane. I just googled it and it is the largest f series dealer in the nation. Do an image search for woodhouse truck mountain. They were also the largest viper dealer and repair shop in the nation. They have the snake pit service area that's all vipers. It's quite impressive but when you own a viper racing team I guess it's to be expected.
