Default Need advice

Hey everyone new to site nd need help I switch trucks about every year and half due to my job. Inhave always has the 3.5 eco boost for first time I went to the 5.0 in my 2018

the truck is lacking power not that I’m trying to lull it but tires will not spin and even as suggested by performance guy to brake stance it and rpm bounces when foot is to the floor at 2000 rpm. Have had it into dealer they agree with there is an issue the changed the vct pcm fuel pumps pcv and even adjusted a few line items on the pcm as directed from ford

truck still is sluggish any suggestions

something is wrong with your truck, because the 5.0 2018 F150 is no slouch.

That’s my thoughts I am going to go to the dealership and test drive a model just like mine and see if it acts the same way

Make sure you try both trucks in Sport Mode.

The 5.0 & 3.5 EB run comparable times so the performance should be roughly equal.

However the EB makes all it's power on the bottom and the 5.0 loves to rev so character is totally different.

PS this assumes you are not comparing at 9000' in which case the 5.0 will be a dog.

Something definitely ain't right. I have a 13 5.0 and its rated lower in hp from the factory than the new 18's and I had to feather the skinny pedal to keep the rear tire from breaking loose. It almost sounds like your transmission is starting out in 2nd gear.

Find a new dealer service department. Preferably with a more experienced drivability tech on staff.

He's owned several F-150s but he just opened an account. Then he bought his first 5.0 (apparently without taking a test drive) and discovered it's sluggish compared to all his EB trucks.

I'm not taking the bait.

I thought about that as well but gotta at least give a slim benefit of doubt. Never know.

I had an account before and just signed up a new account yes I’ve had 4 3.5 eb. Test drove a 5.0 but didn’t push it squealing tires and stuff mine was built and I picked it up. I didn’t notice it was really sluggish till towing the boat. As well I was breaking it in and not burning rubber I have told them for months there is an issue and they wouldn’t listen till I forced the tech to go for a drive.

So no one is being fed any bs. I was just looking for advice
