Not to go allong with a gag here....but couldn't the abs be feeding back a short? That would transfer thru the hub to wheel.
Since we still don't know what year this could be an engineering test model for us

flux capacitor may be discharging erraticaly, be careful, it puts out around 1.21 gigawatts or so...

The electric can transfer from anywhere, the tire has nothing to do with it. The rim bolts to the axle which bolts to the springs which bolts to the frame. Power can travel through all of that.

I beg to differ...the rolling rubber CAN build up static charges! Many thousands of volts in fact!

I didn't mean about the static electricity, although I didn't know about that either. I meant as far as the power being transferred to the rim from an onboard electrical source.
