Maybe use some degreaser (life saver!) and a brush maybe even a brass bristle brush

DONT powerwash it. all thats gonna do is push water/dirt into places it shouldnt go.

simple green or an engine degreaser is what you need. with LIGHT water from a hose with no attachment.

and even doing this your risking shorting something out when you restart the truck, hear about it all the time.

if i were you id wash it like i just told you and let it dry in the sun for a few hours before restart.

good luck

I just spray my off with very lite pressure. FYI you will never get it "clean" again, once you off road and get ur truck mudded it will always have mud somewhere

you can pressure wash it ,,but i would do it at the house ..you do run a risk of getting water in places it should not be ...i say at the house because then you can let it set all day and night to let anything dry ..the electronic stuff needs to dry for a minium of 24 hrs ..just in case of water...i asked this same question to a mechnic and this is what he told me ...he also said some trucks you can just wash and go with no problems, but some of the seals could be put on crooked and leak a little therefore causing electrical probs..never can be to cautious with this high dollar electrical stuff

I always spray mine down with Simple Green, let it soak for a couple minutes, and then power wash it off. works like a charm!

Go to autozone or another parts place and buy http://www.gunk.com/ follow directions. Also buy the protectant, i use it on my boat and it keeps the engine bay in great condition.
