Whoever designed this system was either high as fu*k or were dropped on their heads when they were babies.

My Toyota one was plug and play, no messing around.

so i dont have to worry about taking plugging it in, and going somewhere and forgetting chit.

Only time mine gets unplugged is when I drop the truck off at the dealer to get the oil changed and tires rotated. There's no need to remove it other than to add more music.

Hey, everyone -

I just wanted to jump in and confirm that SYNC supports the following audio files:

MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC.

For those of you with the Jukebox feature, the music you download must come from a CD.

If anyone has additional questions, give me a shout.

Jaclyn

Hey Jaclyn, can you direct me to in depth information on file vs folder mode?

Thanks,

Denny

I just copied a bunch of wav. files to a USB drive today. I own and operate a recording studio and do audio and video production. These wav files are 44.1 Khz 16 bit files (such as used on a CD). So I thought I'd give it a try after reading this thread.

I have owned my truck since Feb and have never tried the USB port. My Sync said that the files were NOT compatible. There is nothing else on the USB drive other than the songs in wav format....and they are all on the root directory (no folders on the drive).

So, is my system supposed to play these wav files? I have a '13 XLT with the 302A package.

Is the USB drive FAT32 formatted? I bought a cheapo from Best Buy (PNY 16g). Mine works perfect and was already formatted correctly.

Hey, Denny -

If you create folders for your music, they act like a playlist.

When you want to play one of them, say USB; when SYNC responds, give the command PLAY FOLDER (NAME OF FOLDER).

Hi, Green_Bean -

The .WAV files are compatible with your system. Is your USB formatted to FAT32? Also, where did you download the music from? It could be protected content.

Thanks but that doesn't work. It says "Not in folder mode".

I have 1 layer of folders with each folder being an album and containing that album's tracks in proper order.

I'd like to "Play All" with "Shuffle On" (random play of entire drive) and at any time switch to "Play Album" mode to hear that album in proper track order, then switch back to random play, etc.

I'm guessing the system is not capable of this.
